To boot from this DVD, set your PC up so it will boot
from the DVD drive in the PC's BIOS.


When you boot from this DVD you will see 6 options.

You have a choice of 3 different VV!nd0vv$ installations:

1. Full VV!nd0vv$ XP (nothing is removed)
2. TinyXP (large components removed, but usable for most)
3. MicroXP (extremely small, only takes 221Mb of HDD space)

All three versions are updated to February 2010.

There are also three more boot options:

4. Acronis True Image EES v9.7.8353 (Backup\\Restore)
5. Hiren's BootCD v10.1 (Includes Live VV!nd0vv$ XP)
6. SpinRite v6.1 (Hard Disk Testing and Repair)

Tons of drivers included!

After the first reboot, on all installations, you will see a pop up
"Driver Selector" window, This has a 1 minute timer. If the minute
counts down, you will get important driverpacks included.

This selector has a lot of drivers and you can pick and choose any
combination you want, but remember that you must be sat at the PC
after the first reboot.

All three choices include 22 different driverpacks, all are optional,
but you will always get basic drivers included even if the timer is
left to count down. That is, CPU, Chipset, LAN, Mass Storage, Sound,
the main nVidia and ATI graphics drivers and Wireless LAN.

Even if you choose to create a smaller CD sized ISO (which you can
easily do by just double clicking a batch file in the ISO folder on
this DVD) those still include drivers and the driver selector, but
they are on a 700Mb CD so have to have less driver packs.


Options 1 and 2
---------------

- NOT unattended.
- You do not require any product key
- Allows you to do a "Repair" installation

You can install VV!nd0vv$ the way you want, choose your own username,
regional and language options etc.


Option 2
--------

Option 2 is TinyXP Rev10 (February 2010).

This is usable for most people, but it does not include Chinese,
Japanese or Korean languages. It also has a lot of other things
removed that are classed as a waste of resources, or just bulky
and useless. For example the upgrade option is removed, since
only a clean install is advised, also the Tour is removed, MSN
Explorer and many other items, but whilst keeping all of the
functionality (services) in VV!nd0vv$. This means you get a smaller
install and it uses less RAM, but you get almost the whole of
VV!nd0vv$ and will not miss anything taken out.

XP02\I386\SVCPACK\NLITE\Last Session.ini

You should only install this VV!nd0vv$ onto a freshly formatted
partition or hard disk.


Option 3
--------

Option 3 is not for the faint hearted, it is an extremely small edition
of VV!nd0vv$ with a lot of components removed. I actually use it myself
though, as my main OS. It seems to do everything I need it to do.

There are advantages to MicroXP:

- Extremely fast installation
- Fast to scan for viruses
- Making a backup is fast
- Defragmenting is fast

Those are just some advantages - the OS is also less prone to viruses
because there are so few files left to attack and it runs very fast.

This boots up in probably a third of the time of normal VV!nd0vv$ XP.

This installation is unattended and set to US English, but you can
change the country for your keyboard afterwards.

You should only install this VV!nd0vv$ onto a freshly formatted
partition or hard disk.

The drivers that get copied to your hard disk are only there
during setup and will be removed again afterwards. Only the
drivers that your system needs will be installed.

- Acronis Backup + Restore

Allows you to backup your existing partition(s) before installing
VV!nd0vv$, or you can quickly restore a backup made previously with
Acronis.


- Hirens Boot CD v10.1

This includes a bootable "Mini XP" that you can boot into in case
you cannot boot into VV!nd0vv$ anymore. From there you can access
your disks again and use any of the dozens of tools included. This
is a massive collection of more then 200 tools! Including Partition
Tools, Disk Clone Tools, Antivirus Tools, Recovery Tools, Testing Tools,
RAM (Memory) Testing Tools, Hard Disk Tools, System Information Tools,
MBR (Master Boot Record) Tools, BIOS / CMOS Tools, MultiMedia Tools,
Password Tools, NTFS, Ext2FS, Ext3FS (FileSystems) Tools, Dos File
Managers, Dos Tools and VV!nd0vv$ Tools. You can boot into Hiren's
and have access to Norton Partition Magic, Paragon Partition Manager,
EasyRecovery.


- SpinRite v6.0

SpinRite attempts to recover data from damaged portions of hard disks
that might not be readable via the operating system. When it encounters
a sector with errors that cannot be corrected by the disk drive's error
correcting code, it tries to read the sector up to 2000 times, and
tries to determine the most probable value of each bit by comparing
the results. The data is then saved onto a new block of the same disk.

APPS folder

This folder contains 2 folders. One is silent installers, one is
portable programs.

You can run the silent installers off the DVD itself but you must
copy any of the portables you want to use to your hard disk before
using them.

This supports ONLY English Language and ONLY English Keyboard Layouts.

This is a FULL Install. You CANNOT Upgrade from previous versions of Windows.
There is no validation required. This PASSES WGA. This works 100% with Windows Update.
I have included the CD-Key already in the install process. This means at no point will you have to enter it.
Some people using Macs or Virtual Machines might need the serial. See Serial.txt if you do need it.
Serial.txt is located in the download folder and in a folder on the disc/iso.
This has all windows updates through December 2009. This is has been tested numerous times with no errors.
This has minimalist Internet Explorer 6. (Use It To Download Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, Etc)
This is the x86 version (32Bit).

I have integrated a few new driver packs this time. I kept all the Sata, Raid, & Mass Storage Drivers from before, but also added Chipset, Lan, and WLan drivers.
This is why it is slightly larger in size than the previous releases. I did this because of people previously having such a hard time finding correct network drivers.
This way they are now able to connect to the internet and download all the other necessary drivers themselves. You will still probably need to install other drivers
yourself. Graphics, Sound, Printer, Etc. Unfortunately, the newest driver packs leave behind a little garbage on the main hard drive (Usually C: Drive). You can
safely delete everything EXCEPT WINDOWS, Program Files, & Documents and Settings.

Updates currently work fine and this also currently passes WGA. As a preventative measure, I've also
included Office and Windows WGA Cracks which are in a folder called "TJ" on the disc in case they start blocking the serial number included.
You don't need to use these unless you can't get updates, or this is no longer passing WGA.

This is set to automatically log you in each time you start up. If you want to be prompted for a username and password
please see the "TJ" folder on the disc. It contains a registry patch that you can run to have it prompt for username and password again.
This folder on the disc also contains numerous other little tweak applications, registry patches, WGA Cracks & More.
Please look at it before asking questions.

In the "TJ" folder on the disc, in the folder called "Registry", you will see another folder called "Save_Icon_Layout". Whenever I install
new graphics drivers my icons on my desktop get out of place. This little DLL and Reg Patch will help with saving/restoring your Desktop Icon Layout.
To Install It: Extract the "LAYOUT.DLL" filder to "Drive:\Windows\system32" folder. Then double click the Reg Patch to apply it.
Now it should show up as an option when you right click on your My Computer Icon.

I have removed the original Net Framework that ships with XP. It's super old and outdated.
You can still download and use a newer version however. Just download the latest version from Microsoft.com or Windows Update.

I have disabled and deleted the Classic Windows XP Install Screens with the info about XP and the blue Background.
You will just see a black background now and the install will look similar to 2000. This saves Space and gives more
info while installing.

The Minimum HD and RAM Requirements have been lifted. You can try and install this on whatever machine you like now.
High ISO Compression has been enabled to save space.

Install Notes:
1. Unrar the Archive(s) using WinRAR or 7Zip. This will produce an ISO file.
2. Burn the ISO using a program such as IMGBurn, Nero, Alcohol 120, Blindwrite, ect... (Burn at a slow Speed to ensure no errors, 1x-4x)
3. Change Bios Priority settings so it boots from the CD-ROM Drive First. (You may be able to skip this step)
4. Insert Disc and Reboot PC, Follow the on screen prompts and enjoy.
Notes:
If you are getting errors while copying files. It's your CD, not the release. Try burning it to different brand of cd/media and try burning at the slowest speed possible.
I just tested this in VMWare and it works flawless. You should get between 16-19 Processes and under 100mb of ram usage when using the computer initially. Everything you install/use will obviously increase this, however its the leanest XP Copy around.

INSTRUCTIONS

Install:
- Download and extract using WinRAR.
- Use Nero or other burning app to burn the ISO image
- Burning speed should not be faster than 4x. Otherwise, it might not work.
- Restart your computer.
- Make sure you have selected your DVD-ROM/RW drive as a first boot device.

* Enter the BIOS pressing the DEL button, set the option, insert your Windows 7 installation and restart computer.
- The black screen will appear (image 01).
- Press any key to boot from CD or DVD.... (by pressing the key you are entering the setup)
- Select your language, time and currency and keyboard input (optionaly)
- Click install now
- Choose your edition (x86 is 32-bit, x64 is 64-bit) depending of CPU type you have.

*Choose x64 if you have 64-bit processor.
- Click "I accept".
- Click "Custom" (advanced).
- Choose your partition/hdd drive where Win7 should be installed and click format.

*You might get some error if you have two or more hard disks with different connectors (ATA and SATA).
If you get an error, turn off one of your hard disks and repeat the whole proces.
- After formatting, setup will continue automaticly and it will finish after 15-30 min.
- Next step would be username
- Type your password (if you want).
- When you get the screen for CD-KEY just ignore it leaving blank.

*Uncheck the box for automaticly activation and click next.
- Choose the third option for next step.
- Select your time zone.
- Select your current location (Home is recommended).
- The black CMD windows will appear. Wait a few seconds until computers restares once again.
- And that would be all about installation. You are in Windows now.

Activation:
It is not required, because it is OEM. Windows will be premanently activated.
However, it is well known that there is some problems with DELL and HP machines.
So if you have issues with pre-activation you will be forced to some activator to activate Windows 7.


INSTALLATION NOTES
--> Remember when Windows is finalizing its installation, a black screen will appear (cmd), it will stay like this for about 2 to 10 mins Depending on the system you are using Then It Will say ***-***-***-***-**** Key installed successfully. Then it will restart automatically. After this, you can go to My computer's Properties, Windows is NOW activated!

--> FOR DELL and HP machines
80% : the activators will work meanwhile the other 20% depends on how old your laptop/computer, If you did an upgrade you will have to use an external activator because this version was made for a clean installation.

--> If you do not want to be forced to use an activator. I would do a custom install but you don't really have to format your driver due to the fact that Windows 7 will just overwrite your current windows and put the old windows in a folder called "Windows.old" where your previous windows installion files are kept. And it is optional if you choose to delete the old folder because the drivers are there after installation. Make sure you are connected to the internet before and after the installation.
Go for the fresh Installation if you dont really have important programs you can easily re-install at a later time. ( I RECOMMEND THIS )
