Raping his sister

BUTTERWORTH: A 21-year-old who pleaded guilty to raping his sister three years ago was sentenced to eight-and-a- half years' jail yesterday.

The unemployed youth was also ordered to be given 10 strokes of the rotan by Sessions Court judge Chan Jit Li.

Chan ordered the sentence to start from the day the youth was arrested on July 21, 2005. The youth was charged with raping his 13-year-old sister in a bedroom at their house in Kepala Batas in July 2005.
